How do you clean your Clove care shoes?
October 7, 2025
Clove shoes are designed with ease of cleaning in mind, perfect for busy workdays where fresh footwear is essential. Whether it's a quick cleaning moment on the go or a thorough clean at home, below you'll find the best approach for both the Classic and the SuperCush collection.
Materials that make cleaning easier
The Clove Classic Collection uses the Clarino™ vegan material, which is fluid-repellent and stain-resistant, ideal for work environments with intensive use.
The SuperCush collection combines durability with materials such as neoprene and faux suede, while maintaining ease of cleaning. This also makes these models easy to keep clean.

1. Quick cleaning on the go
- Classic, Strada, and SuperCush Forte: Wipe away dirt or fluids effortlessly with a damp cloth or wet wipe.
2. Thorough cleaning at home for all models:
- Remove surface dirt with a damp cloth or an old toothbrush.
- Mix warm water with liquid hand soap into a mild soapy solution.
- Apply this with a cloth or soft brush to the outside and soles of the shoes.
- Brush or wipe away dirt, stains, and residue with care.
- Take a clean, well-wrung cloth and wipe away any soap residue. Note: do not fully submerge the shoes.
- Let the shoes (and insole, if removed) air dry for at least an hour, until fully dry.
Tip: Take out the Ortholite insoles and wash them separately on a cold cycle in the washing machine. Let them dry thoroughly afterward before putting them back in.
We recommend not cleaning the shoes in a washing machine.
